Harper really started smiling around the first of the year.
At first, they mostly happened when she was just about to fall asleep. Now she smiles when she wakes up, when we talk to her, when she watches Adi and sometimes for no reason at all.
We're definitely biased, but we think she's got the best baby smiles we've seen.

I can see A LOT of her mother in that little face when she smiles! Definitely in the eyes. I love my little niece! Yay! What was that? You want another yay! No problem. Yaaaaaaaaaaay!
oh...we're all biased :D but those are definitely some sweet, sweet baby smiles, what a cutie!
Rachel, I love all of the updates. What a sweet and happy girl! And you have so many darling pics of her. I completely understand about the shots. I get really teary eyed when I have to hold down my babies. Not fun. I guess eventually you do sort of get "used" to them having these unfun visits to the doctor. Plus, it's entirely worth it. The rota virus vaccine (the oral one I believe) was not around when Matthew was a baby. He had that sickness for two weeks and lost several pounds, and was going to be hospitalized. Immunizations are COMPLETELY worth it. Glad you're enjoying motherhood so much. It's wonderful.
She is getting so big! And if possible, cuter by the day!

She is getting so big!! I really wish we could come out this weekend. :(
